Users
Manage the people who use B2W Inform on the Users page in Setup. You can create new users and manage existing users. Users appear in alphabetical order. See User Groups permissions guide for specifics on security roles and permissions.
Resend activation email
Users are validated by their email address. To resend the activation email to a user:
- Click Edit next to the user.
- Click the Send Email button.
View total user accounts
The number of total user accounts is displayed at the top of the Users page in Setup. The total number is the total number of user accounts that have been created in the tenant (both active and inactive accounts).
Show Inactive Users
When viewing the Users page, by default the application hides the users who are inactive (those who do not have an active license assigned to them). To view inactive users, select the “Show Inactive Users” check box.
Create new user
- Click Create New User.
- Enter information in the following fields:
- Username/Email – Choose a user name or enter the user's email. This is a required field.
- First Name – The first name of the user you want to add. This is a required field.
- Last Name – The last name of the user you want to add. This is a required field.
- Business Unit - Select the business unit under which this user belongs. This is a required field.
- Phone – The user's phone number.
- Add User Groups – Select groups for the user. When you add a user to a group, the user will inherit permissions of the user group.
Permissions – (Read Only) displays the effective permissions for this user as assigned by their User Groups. Effective permissions combines all permission granted via user groups and uses the Most Permissive Rule.
- Click Create. An automatic registration email will be sent out to the user you just created. The user will be able to activate their account and set a password.
You will find your newly created user on the Users home page.
About user account registration passwords
Passwords must be at least 6 characters long, include at least one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter, one number, and one of these characters: ! @ # $ & _ + - .
Edit user
- Find the user you want to edit.
- Click Edit in the Action column.
- Edit user information.
- Click Save.
Activate/deactivate user license
Note: Users have an active license by default.
Activate
- Select the check box next to the user.
Deactivate
Note: Deactivating a user license means the user will no longer be able to log into the application and the license that user was using will be freed up for use by another user.
- Find the user whose license you want to deactivate.
- Uncheck the check box under Activate License column in the Users tab.
