Table
Use a Table component to add a Table to your template.
When you have a set of questions you need to add to your template, use a table component instead of multiple radio buttons or check box components to display your questions. This is will help keep your questions organized and will save you time from having to align and fill out multiple components.
Check List (Multi Choice Selection)
Note: With a Check List Column/Row Type, each option will be placed into separate columns/rows.
Each option that is defined is automatically a column/row header.
Currency
This column/row type has a summing option. The user can choose to Total said Column/Row.
Note: In the Table, this will add an extra column/row that says "Total" and then the summed number.
Date
Displays the date.
Dropdown
Choose options from a data source or define your own options.
You can also choose to provide options from a data source and your own options, and allow a custom choice.
Provides an email field.
Label
Note: The user can only use the Label column/row type once in the Table Component.
For use as static labels of a column or row.
Note: This is not the same as a column or row header.
The number of options you input will dictate the number of rows/columns.
Numeric
This column/row type has a summing option. The user can choose to Total said Column/Row.
Note: In the Table, this will add an extra column/row that says "Total" and then the summed number.
Phone
Provides a field where a phone number can be entered.
Radio Buttons (Single Choice Selection)
Note: With the Radio Buttons column/row type, each option will be placed into separate columns/rows.
Each option that is defined is automatically a column/row header. These headers are disabled to the user to edit since they have already defined each option.
Single Check Box
Displays a check boxes.
Text Box
Select from a Single Line or Multi Line Text Box column/row type.
Time
Displays the time.
URL
Provides a field where a URL can be entered.
- Hover over the Table component on the canvas and click Properties .
- Edit the following Table Properties:
- Unique Name – This is the system name used to refer to this component. It will not be visible in the form.
- Label Text – This text appears next to your component.
- Table Headers – Use this section to add headers (as rows or columns by selecting the Rows or Columns radio button).
Note: Headings cannot be deleted, but can be hidden.
- Select the number of headers you want by manually entering a number or using the up and down arrows to select an appropriate number.
- When you have selected a number click Add Header to continue. The Add Table Component dialog will appear where you will customize your heading by selecting a unique header name, header title, and label or component for your heading.
- When you are finished click Add.
Use this section to add headers to your table
- Select the header to be either Rows or Columns.
- Choose the number of rows or columns will appear under the header.
- Click Add Header.
- In the Add Table Component dialog box, enter a Unique Header Name, Header Title, and choose a component to add.
- Click Add.
- Once all headers have been added, click Save.
Hide Table header
- In the Table Properties dialog, uncheck the Visible check box next to the header you want to hide.
