About Alerts

Inform's Alerts feature notifies you when certain forms have been submitted. For example, if someone submits an accident report, you can be notified immediately via email, sms, or in the Inform application. Alerts allow you to establish criteria for when notifications are sent.

View

The Alerts home page displays notifications in the My Notifications tab and alerts in the Alerts tab. By default, only active notifications are displayed. To view hidden notifications, click Show Hidden.

Note: You do not need permission to receive notifications.

Manage alerts

To begin, select the Alerts tab. This tab displays all active alerts.

Create

  1. Click Create New Alert.
  2. Enter or select information for Steps 1-4 on the Create New Alert page.

Edit or delete

In the Action column, click Edit or Delete next to the alert you want to edit or delete.

Note: Before deleting an alert, consider making it inactive. For example, this could be useful for alerts that are only used during certain seasons.

Make an alert inactive/active

Alerts are active by default, but you may want to make an alert inactive if you only use it during certain times. For example, you may have an alert that is only used April-October. Instead of deleting the alert, you can make it inactive so you do not have to recreate it again. F

Inactivate

  • Uncheck the check box in the Active column next to alert you want to make inactive.

Activate

  • Select the check box in the Active column next to the alert you want to make active.
